Our approach

The Holistic Support Model

Five threads run through everything we do — beginning with lived experience, held safely all the way through.

Lived experience

Where we begin. We understand recovery from the inside, so we meet you with understanding — never assumption.

The whole person

We see your emotional wellbeing, daily life, relationships and community, culture and identity, and sense of purpose — not a diagnosis or a plan line.

Coach · Teach · Lead

We coach you to find your own answers, teach the skills that build independence, and lead beside you as you take charge of your recovery.

Trauma-informed & supervised

Everything is held within a trauma-informed framework, with supervision built in — so your support stays safe, steady and consistent.

Your journey

No two roads look alike. You're the only expert on your own life — and we're here to walk alongside.

The difference

Lived experience opens the door — care, skill and supervision hold the space.

A person sitting quietly in a light-filled room

Our workers continue to develop their skills and refine their practice through dedicated supervision with our founder, Cristina Rojas — who teaches mental health and peer work at the tertiary level, after many years working within the sector and a long history of community service. That depth of experience — steady, grounded, and genuinely present — shapes how we show up for the people we walk alongside.

So the support you receive isn't just well-meaning. It's skilled, supervised, and held to a standard we set ourselves.

Good to know

Frequently asked

Who is recovery coaching for?

It's for people living with psychosocial disability — disability that arises from a mental health condition such as anxiety, depression, bipolar, schizophrenia or PTSD.

How is it funded?

Recovery coaching is funded under the Capacity Building – Support Coordination category of an NDIS plan. Some people already have it funded; others can request it at their next plan reassessment. Not sure where you stand? That's exactly the kind of thing we'll help you work out.

Where do you work?

We work online right across Victoria, and in the community. Wherever you are in the state, we can support you.

What qualifications are behind C in Coaching?

Our founder, Cristina Rojas, holds a Certificate IV in Mental Health and a Graduate Certificate in Organisational Coaching, is completing Honours in Social Work, and teaches mental health and peer work at the tertiary level — the holistic, trauma-informed framework she also trains others in.
